Dr. Sarada M — Senior Consultant in Hyderabad

Dr. Sarada M is a Senior Consultant at Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda, Hyderabad, with more than 26 years of experience in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Her clinical work covers uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain, with endometriosis listed as both treatment and surgery. In theatre she performs hysterectomy by laparoscopic and vaginal routes, myomectomy and laparoscopic myomectomy, ovarian cyst surgery and endometriosis surgery.

Her qualifications were accumulated over more than a decade. She read MBBS at Kurnool Medical College under NTR University of Health Sciences in May 1997, took her DGO at Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad under the same university in December 2000, and the DNB at St Theresa's General Hospital in Hyderabad through the National Board of Examinations in December 2011.

Between those two Indian postgraduate degrees she took the MRCOG of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the UK in May 2008, and she was later elected FRCOG, a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She also holds the MICOG as a member of the Indian College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Her minimal access qualifications were both taken at the University of Kiel in Germany: a fellowship in laparoscopic surgery and a fellowship in gynaecological endoscopy. That training accounts for the keyhole weighting of her operating list.

She won first prize for a paper on adolescent gynecological problems, an observational study, at the FOGSI State Conference in Vizag in June 2011, and was named Rising Star of the Year in obstetrics and gynaecology at the Times Health Achievers Awards in 2017.
