Dr. Pankaj Walecha — Director & Head – Robotic Knee & Minimally Invasive Hip Replacement in Delhi NCR

Dr. Pankaj Walecha is Director and Head of Robotic Knee and Minimally Invasive Hip Replacement at Sarvodaya Hospital, Faridabad, in the Delhi NCR, with more than 27 years of experience.

His list is centred on the hip and knee. He performs total knee and total hip replacement, partial and robotic knee replacement, and revision knee and hip replacement, and manages advanced hip and knee osteoarthritis. His reconstructive work covers ACL and PCL reconstruction and meniscus repair, and he also treats frozen shoulder, shoulder instability, tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, trigger finger and osteomyelitis, and performs fracture fixation and joint injection.

He holds an MBBS and an MS in orthopaedics. His five fellowships were taken in five places and account for the specific techniques in his title. Hip arthroscopy with hip and knee replacement and reconstruction was taken at Wrightington Hospital in the UK, a Johnson and Johnson joint replacement fellowship at Puettlingen in Germany, minimally invasive and computer-assisted joint replacement in Seoul, joint reconstruction in Mumbai, and he was an International AO Fellow at Homburg.

He is a founder member of the Society of Knee Surgeons of India, and also belongs to the Indian Society of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Indian Orthopaedic Association, the Indian Arthroscopy Society and the Indian Cartilage Society. He reviews for the Journal of Clinical Orthopaedics and Trauma.

Alongside Sarvodaya Hospital he has practised at Apollo Spectra Hospitals, Nova Specialty Hospital and Primus Hospital in Chanakyapuri, all in New Delhi.
