Dr. N. Bindu Priya — Consultant Urogynecologist and Gynecologist in Hyderabad

Dr. N. Bindu Priya is Consultant Urogynecologist and Gynecologist at KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, with more than 26 years of experience. Her work combines obstetrics and gynaecology with urogynecology.

The pelvic floor is her subspecialty. She performs pelvic organ prolapse surgery and pelvic floor repair, and her general gynaecological list includes hysterectomy and laparoscopic hysterectomy, myomectomy and laparoscopic myomectomy, endometriosis surgery and menopause management.

She qualified MBBS at S.V. Medical College, Tirupati, took her MS in obstetrics and gynaecology at Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada, in 2011, and a DNB in the same subject in 2012. She then trained in urogynecology at Govt. Kasturba Gandhi Women's Hospital under Dr. MGR University in Chennai.

Her later training was taken abroad in stages. She completed urogynecology training at Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne, an observership at Northwestern University Hospital in Chicago, and gynec endoscopy and laparoscopy training at CMUH in Taiwan. In India she took a basic gynec laparoscopy and hysteroscopy course at SCB Medical College, Cuttack, and an advanced laparoscopy course at Eva Hospital for Women in Ahmedabad. She has also worked at Chennai Fertility Centre.

Her academic record is heavily decorated. She won gold medals in physiology and otorhinolaryngology as an undergraduate and distinctions in her first and third years, was university gold medalist in MS with the Dr. NTRUHS Silver Jubilee Award, and received the Alladi Memorial Award as best outgoing student. She held an IUGA observership in 2012 and an ICS Fellowship Award at UCLH Hospital, London, in 2020.
