What is Transbronchial Lung Biopsy?
Transbronchial lung biopsy (TBLB) passes small forceps through a flexible bronchoscope into a segmental or subsegmental bronchus to remove pieces of lung parenchyma beyond the visible airway. It can investigate selected diffuse or focal lung disease, infection and lung-allograft rejection.
