Dr. Vandana A. Gawdi — Senior Consultant in Mumbai

Dr. Vandana A. Gawdi is a Senior Consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology at Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai, with more than 30 years of experience.

Her clinical work covers uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, abnormal uterine bleeding and endometriosis. In theatre she performs hysterectomy and laparoscopic hysterectomy, myomectomy and laparoscopic myomectomy, ovarian cyst surgery, endometriosis surgery, hysteroscopic polypectomy and uterine polyp removal, and surgery for pelvic organ prolapse.

Most of her qualifications were taken in Mumbai. She holds an MBBS, an MD in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a DGO, all from the University of Mumbai, together with the FCPS of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Mumbai. She also holds a DNB from the National Board of Examinations in New Delhi and a Diploma in Family Planning. Her subspecialty training was a fellowship in gynecological endoscopy and a further fellowship in infertility.

She is a member of FOGSI, of the Mumbai Obstetric and Gynaecological Society, of the Indian Association of Gynecological Endoscopy and of the Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction.

Her presentations have been recognised repeatedly. She has taken best paper presentation awards at obstetrics and gynecology conferences, has been recognised for academic presentations at the Mumbai Obstetric and Gynaecological Society and at FOGSI conferences, and received an award at the Asia Pacific Association of Gynecological Endoscopy conference.
