Dr. Sanjay Sachdeva — Chairman in Delhi NCR

Dr. Sanjay Sachdeva is Chairman of the ENT Department at Max Super Speciality Hospital in Saket, Delhi NCR, with more than 35 years of experience.

His clinical list is short and concentrated on the nose and the ear. Functional endoscopic sinus surgery and endoscopic nasal surgery are the operations, refractory chronic sinusitis and severe allergic rhinitis the conditions behind them, and cochlear implant surgery the ear procedure. Sleep-disordered breathing completes the list.

His degrees were all taken at Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, where he read MBBS, took the DCH, and completed his MS in ENT with G.B. Pant Hospital and Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narain Hospital.

His written output is the dominant strand of the record. He co-authored an Easy Guide to Ear, Nose and Throat, published by the National Book Trust of India with a foreword by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, and a further National Book Trust title on common ENT problems written for the general public. For surgeons rather than patients he co-authored Complications in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, and a book on endoscopic sinus surgery with Prof. S.K. Kaluskar published in the U.S.A. by Lippincott-Wilkins-Watkins Press. He edits ENT What's New?, a journal covering recent advances in the specialty, and is completing a book on the anterior skull base surgical approach with Dr. S.K. Kaluskar for Elsevier.

The Association of Otolaryngology of India has honoured him for his contribution to academics, and AOI Delhi facilitated him for a live demonstration of laser surgery. He also practises at Max Multi Speciality Centre in Panchsheel Park.
