Dr. Sabhyata Gupta — Chairperson in Delhi NCR

Dr. Sabhyata Gupta is Chairperson of the Department of Gynaecology and Gynae-Oncology at Medanta – The Medicity, Gurugram, in the Delhi NCR, with more than 20 years of experience.

Her operating list is defined by the platform as much as by the condition. She performs robotic hysterectomy, robotic myomectomy, robotic endometriosis surgery, robotic pelvic floor surgery and robotic gynecologic oncology surgery, and the same operations laparoscopically where that is the better route: laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic myomectomy and laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. Pelvic floor repair is also on her list.

Her MD in Gynaecology was in robotic gynaecological surgery, and she holds a diploma in advanced gynaecological endoscopic surgery taken in Germany together with the Fellowship of the International College of Surgeons. Her oncology training came through an observership programme in gynaecological oncology at Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital, Mumbai, and training in cytoreductive surgery for ovarian cancer. She is also American Board certified in aesthetic gynaecology.

She has led two national bodies. She was President of the Fertility Preservation Society of India from 2018 to 2020, and President of AOGIN India for the 2020–22 term. She belongs to the International Gynaecological Cancer Society, the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Her recognitions include being named Best Gynaec Robotic Surgeon for North India by World Wide Achievers in 2015, and appearing among the top ten most influential in the health sector in Medgate Magazine in 2018.
