Dr. Arvinder Singh Soin — Chairman in Delhi NCR

Dr. Arvinder Singh Soin is Chairman of Liver Transplant at Medanta - The Medicity in the Delhi NCR, with more than 38 years of experience. His profile records surgical gastro, HPB and transplant work together with gastroenterology and hepatobiliary medicine.

His list is one of the most specialised in the specialty and stays entirely within the liver and biliary tree. He performs deceased donor liver transplant, pediatric liver transplant and liver retransplantation, liver resection, complex HPB tumor surgery, gallbladder cancer surgery, biliary tract tumor resection, biliary reconstruction and hepaticojejunostomy, and manages operable and benign liver tumors and pediatric liver disease.

He holds an MBBS, an MS taken with a thesis, the primary FRCS and the FRCS in general surgery.

Three of his awards are international and all predate his present post. He was awarded a visiting fellowship at the Kyoto Liver Transplant Unit, a British Transplantation Society Bursary in 1994, and a research grant from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 1996. Kyoto and a transplantation society bursary between them place his early training in the same field his career has stayed in.

His later recognition is Indian. He received a DMA Award in 2010, and the Swastha Bharat Samman and an E-Medinews Award in 2011, and his achievements are listed in the Limca Book of Records for 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

He practises at Medanta in Gurugram, at Medanta Lucknow and at the Medanta MediClinic in Defence Colony.
