What is Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR)?
EMR lifts a selected mucosal lesion on a fluid cushion and removes it with a snare, aiming for complete endoscopic resection when invasion depth allows. The lesion is lifted and snared, sometimes in pieces. Clips may close the defect. Specimens go to pathology.
