What is Tendon Repair Surgery?
Tendon repair surgery restores a child's cut, ruptured or selectively transferred tendon so that a finger, wrist, ankle or knee can move again. Adult tendon repair remains a different Orthopedics slug. The surgeon finds the tendon ends, repairs or transfers them with sutures, and protects the repair in a splint. Early protected motion may be part of the protocol.
